Old Essene Exercise of Purification and Health

Stand in living nature, between the earth and the sky. Feel the earth under your feet; feel how the earth carries you and holds you up. Feel the infinite sky above you; it inspires, straightens, and elevates you. In the sky, think of the origin of your spirit and of your intelligence. In the sky, think of the origin of your eternal soul, of the higher universal consciousness. In the earth, think of the origin of your terrestrial soul, of your individual consciousness. Feel yourself as a living union of the forces of the sky and the earth, of the infinite and the development.

Kneel on the ground, and with your right hand, dig a little hole in the earth. Put your hands together in front of the center of your chest (mystical heart), in the sign of prayer and inner union with heaven and earth within you. In this sacred posture, let a beautiful light, a force, a presence of the heaven flow through you: the omnipresence of the Father of all living beings. You can imagine a diamond light, transparent like pure water. Bend down with love before Mother Earth, and place your hands around the little hole. Bend down completely so that your mouth is laid on your hands. Offer then by your word the “thank you” of heaven to Mother Earth; offer also the “thank you” of your heart, and, through it, the “thank you” of the heart of humanity. Pronounce the words:”Mother Earth, I offer you the “thank you” of my heart and, through it, the “thank you” of the heart of all men and women. May all beings that you carry within your bosom, nurture, protect, and let grow be blessed.”

Stretch yourself out on the ground and abandon yourself totally to the earth. That your body and your soul born from it be one with the Mother-Earth and her hidden splendor. Think and say:”Mother Earth, take all of my illnesses and my faults according your will, so that I may receive the blessing of the heavenly Spirit to transmit it to all living beings according his will.”Remain in silent communion while letting the earth purify you completely.

Rise to your knees again, and put your hands together in front of the rose of the sun of the heart. Think in your spirit, feel in your soul, and say with your force of life:”With love and gratitude, I offer my loving “thank you” filled with light. To the Mother Earth, thank you; To the water of life, thank you; To the precious air, thank you; To the sacred fire, thank you; To the stable minerals, thank you; To the plants, thank you; To the animals, thank you; To humanity walking on the path of evolution, thank you; To all of the angels, thank you; To the cosmic intelligence which created my thought, thank you; To the ocean of love which created my sensibility, thank you; To the universal life which impregnated my future with the seed of individuality, thank you; To all of the beings of the world, I give my “thank you” within Him, the unique Source who unites all beings within the origin and the goal.”Fold your arms on your chest, bow slightly your head, and pronounce the word of conclusion: “Amen”.

Then, refill the hole that you had dug to speak to the Mother of the world. By practicing such exercises, which are totally suitable for our contemporary life, you will notice that you receive a force of balance and harmony which lets you remain more centered and be more yourself in life.

Some of you know that I write a Microsoft Innovation column for Examiner.com. You might not know that Denver-based Examiner.com has acquired Vancouver-based NowPublic, a pioneer in user-generated content and the largest participatory news network in the world. A critical driver of the purchase is the positive impact NowPublic’s technology will offer Examiner columnists. By adopting their technology, we will be able to use a variety of rich Examiner features such as more reliable publishing tools, mobile publishing, enhanced photo management, and much more over the next several months.

They asked us to take a survey to let them know what we think. Being in the mobile industry field, I’m most excited about the mobile publishing aspect of this combined effort for crowd-powered media.

I’m supposed to publish 1-2 articles a week although I struggle to write one article. However, that one article really feeds the creative muse in me, as does this blog.

So a big shout out to all those loyal friends who subscribe via RSS feed to both my blog posts and Examiner.com columns. I also appreciate those folk who do not subscribe to either but tune in occasionally. I don’t say enough how I am most grateful for your support. Knowing that I have a few loyalists out there who hold the bar high for me makes all the difference.

Thank you.

Spiritual conspiracy: A poem

Posted in Philosophy, Spirit at 3:47 AM by moxiemuse

Every moment is an opportunity for love and transformation.

Every moment is an opportunity for love and transformation.

Many of you know that I work with essential oils daily. Essential oils raise our frequencies; that means our minds as well as our bodies, to align with truth and higher thoughts. The following poem is a beautiful reminder in times when we are all dealing with the potential of mandatory vaccines, the outcome of Health Care Reform, etc.

Whether we see it or not, know it or not, THIS is what is really going on even if it does not appear so obvious. We can choose where we focus in any given moment. I know it can be challenging sometimes when things are looking bad. Read this often to stay reminded. Enjoy!

The word conspiracy (con + spire) actually means to breathe together. The poetic essay below is an inspiring reminder that we are being deliciously enveloped by a growing spiritual conspiracy. Increasing numbers around the globe are breathing together. As old structures crumble around us, we are conspiring to breathe new life and a new way of living into our world. We know that no matter how crazy things may look on the surface, the universe is conspiring to shower us with blessings. Enjoy the rich flow of conscious conspiracy as you breathe in the soul-touching words below.

Breathing together with you…

A SPIRITUAL “CONSPIRACY”

On the surface of our world right now
There is war, violence, and craziness
And things may seem dark.
But calmly and quietly
At the same time
Something is happening underground.
An inner revolution is taking place
And certain individuals
Are being called to a higher light.
It is a silent revolution
From the inside out
From the ground up.
This is a global co-operation
That has sleeper cells in every nation.
It is a planetary Spiritual Conspiracy.

You won’t likely see us on T.V.
You won’t read about us in the newspaper.
You won’t hear from us on the radio.
We don’t seek glory.
We don’t wear any uniform.
We come in all shapes and sizes, colors and styles.
We are in every country and culture of the world
In cities big and small, mountains and valleys
In farms and villages, tribes and remote islands.
Most of us work anonymously
Seeking not recognition of name
But profound transformation of life.
Working quietly behind the scenes
You could pass by one of us on the street
And not even notice.
We go undercover
Not concerned for who takes the final credit
But simply that the work gets done.
Many of us may seem to have normal jobs.
But behind the external storefront
Is where the deeper work takes a place.
With the individual and collective power
Of our minds and hearts
We spread passion, knowledge, and joy to all.
Some call us the Conscious Army
As together
We co-create a new world.

Our orders come from the Spiritual Intelligence Agency
Instructing us to drop soft, secret love bombs
when no one is looking.
Poems ~ Hugs ~ Music ~ Photography ~ Smiles ~ Kind words
Movies ~ Meditation and prayer ~ Dance ~ Websites
Social activism ~ Blogs ~ Random acts of kindness…
We each express ourselves
In our own unique ways
With our own unique gifts and talents.
“Be the change you want to see in the world”
That is the motto that fills our hearts.
We know this is the path to profound transformation.
We know that quietly and humbly
Individually and collectively
We have the power of all the oceans combined.

At first glance our work is not even visible.
It is slow and meticulous
Like the formation of mountains.
And yet with our combined efforts
Entire tectonic plates
Are being shaped and moved for centuries to come.
Love is the religion we come to share
And you don’t need to be highly educated
Or have exceptional knowledge to understand it.

Love arises from the intelligence of the heart
Embedded in the timeless evolutionary pulse
Of all living beings.
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Nobody else can do it for you.
Yet don’t forget, we are all here supporting you.
We are now recruiting.
Perhaps you will join us
Or already have.
For in this spiritual conspiracy
All are welcome, and all are loved.
The door is always open.

Julie/Julia movie: Light, delightful, and the premise of Julia is worth pondering

JulieJuliaMovie

Jason and I went and saw the movie, “Julie and Julia” a week ago. It was a light and delightful respite from the regular movie fare. We saw it at the Gold Class Cinemas in Redmond, where they have reclining chairs and food/drinks arrive at the press of a button. Indulgence! As a bonus, the chef came out and cooked 2 recipes from Julia Child’s book. He was quite funny as he talked his way through cooking. What a treat!

You probably know the story line: the interweaving of the story of Julia Child’s life in Paris and the process of writing her famous cookbook and that of blogger and writer Julie Powell who, 50 years later, writes of her year of living in and through the contents of Child’s cookbook from her small Queens apartment.

It’s funny and whimsical – and there is no intention of writing a “review” of the movie here. The reason for sharing my seeing of the movie is that it was a great example of two women who lived (in the case of Julia) and live (as Julie still does) as a Creator, based on TED.

Julia Child was in her late 30s, living in Paris with her diplomat husband Paul and decided to determine what she wanted to do. She started with one of her primary passions: eating French food. She decided to learn to cook and the rest, as they say, is history – and the subject of the movie. Once she and her cookbook co-writers created the vision of a cookbook for American chefs, it took OVER 8 YEARS of baby steps, and disappointments, and perseverance for the dream to be realized.

Yet even when the creating was hard, she did not default to the role of Victim. To the contrary, as Meryl Streep (who portrays Julia in the movie) said in a recent New Your Times Interview, “When you talk about passion, Julia Child just didn’t have it for her husband or cooking; she had a passion for living. What was compelling about her was her joie de vivre and her unwillingness to be bogged down in negativity. She loved being alive and that’s inspirational in itself.” She was a Creator. And her husband, Paul, was a huge supporter and champion, acting as a Challenger, Coach and Co-Creator her. They were a great example of a couple living The Empowerment Dynamic TED) together.

As were (and are) Julie Powell and her husband Eric. Julie found herself in a dreary day-job as a secretary. Rather than dwell on and wallow in self-pity, she devised a dream and a goal: to make her way through Julia Child’s cookbook in a year. Hence, she set out to create by cooking 524 recipes in 365 days and to write a blog along the way. The rest is her history and the book behind this movie.

So, when you are ready for a treat, go see the movie. Watch it through the lens of TED* and watch two Creators – connected by a shared passion for food and cooking – baby step their way into their fulfilling their envisioned outcomes.

Very inspirational and I just love movies like this one where you leave the theater uplifted.
